Dad’s Birthday

My dad celebrated his birthday at Tiendesitas last 20th of July 2012. We were able to find our Dad that fast because of the long table located at the right corner. A long table which reminds us of his past birthdays which was usually celebrated at home. Always the same setting, visitors, liquors and foods. My Dad’s birthday is always the happiest day of my every year because I came to see his happiness and enjoyment everytime. the bright lights

Since I was not in the mood to drink some beer, my dad gave me this instead.

It was a cold rainy night, so I decided to choose something that has long sleeves and at the same time, comfortable.

This little boy is so cute, his name is GAB.

That’s it!

Ateneo colors

Blue and White is Ateneo De Manila University’s official colors. I do love the color combination ever since and I am a fan of their UAAP’s Basketball team. So much for that, I think it looks very refreshing when you come to see a person wearing a piece of white and blue color.

I and my niece went to Bonifacio High Street that day to wait for my elder sister to finish the event that she has attended at a nearby restaurant. It was an unplanned foodtrip day. There goes grabbing doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, met my Dad and my brother at Kirin for dinner, grabbed a coffee at Coffee Bean and since we were craving for S & R’s New York style pizza, we bought a box of pizza and just brought it home. That was for our midnight snack. (HAHA)

Of course, my sister didn’t forget to play with her camera. I, as her subject.

I always dreamt of being treated as a Princess by someone. Hey, every girl does.

That’s it! What do you think?

Nail Pad

What to do when you’re stressed and burnt out? Pamper yourself and color your life. That would be the easiest way out to refreshen your senses. But of course, this isn’t only for a not-so-good day place to spend. It is also a place for you to build your relationship with your friends and loved ones.

As I walk through the door of NAIL PAD, I told myself, “I feel like entering a little castle.” I felt a princess-y feeling. Just before you enter, you can translucently see what’s inside this Spa and Wellness. It has its’ beautiful, charming, feminine, sweet, girl and royal ambiance. The gold colour of the label of the place itself, the victorian-like chairs, and the curtains catched my eyes. The sweet fruity odor smell and the very welcoming greetings and assistance of the staffs was a big plus!

Nail Pad is located at Allarey corner, Juarez Street, Lucena City. Kiddos to teens to adults of both genders are the customers of the spa place. Since it is located near a church, a school, convenience stores, restos, fastfoods, bars and a short ride to the mall, I can really consider this where-you-get-your-nails-done a very convenient ready-to-go place before preparing for an event or a date with friends or loved ones or just for making yourself pretty.

Nail Pad offers hand & foot care, foot spa, hand spa and body spa. It was the first place that offered digital nail art in the area. They also have hand painted nail art, variety of nail polish brands for you to choose and different flavors of the spa treatments. They also offer special packages for kiddie pampering, spa parties– bridal shower, wine party, pajama party. And offers discounts for special days too! They also sell trendy clothes, bags, accessories and gift items. Prices for the hand, foot and spa services ranges from Php 60-600. For other inquiries, call (042) 716-07-01.

It is really a worthy experience. One thing that I get to know was they were sterilizing every materials that they are using before it can actually reach your hand or foot. For nail polish- BK, p2, Rimmel, OPI, Orly and Tony Moly are the brand that are available as of the moment. Staffs were really friendly and always carry a smile on their face.

Voila! Its one of the nicest spa place in the Philippines where you can really go back everytime (esp. for those who are living in the province of Quezon). Oh, how I wish they do have a branch in Manila. But for my dear readers, this place is higly recommended. Most of the tourists slash travellers, drop by the place whenever they attend “Pahiyas Festival” in Lucban, Quezon yearly.

Gift certificates and Coupon cards are available at the counter.

Channeling Poses

I am writing as I take a quick break from stress-dom. For the past few hours I have been going up and down the stairs, making calls and accomplishing my to-do list for various events which I have no idea why it was approved by the upper management in the first place.

In my previous post I mentioned that Kaye and I were trying to reach a thousand hits by this month but for some reason, in two days we got a staggering 1,025! thanks for your undying support guys! We are truly grateful!

I was thinking of something to write and thought about blogging our most recent escapade. Since It has something to do with our future photoshoot, so to speak.

Kaye, Gina and I met with each other last Sunday night in an attempt to go to a midnight food bazaar, which happens to be very good and popular here in Manila. I shall blog about it soon, when we get the chance to finally visit an OPEN market. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we thought Mercato was open during Sunday nights, apparently, we were surprised to see a dimly lit Global City and an empty tent to confirm that we were wrong of our decision to go there.

To make our journey and taxi fare worth it, we decided to take outfit shots instead! We did not want to waste our effort to dress up! Such girls.

Gina and Kaye did not plan their outfits, it was just a coincidence that they were wearing almost the same combination. Since we live in a tropical country, we are very fortunate to sport a pair of shorts, may it be denim, washed out or black. We usually combine our fashion pieces with closed shoes, seldom do we wear slippers.

Moving on, we crashed the guys’ village up north instead. We were almost sure that they were still awake past midnight and very alive at that. Due to our tight budget, we were hesitant to take the cab and was planning to ride the bus instead. We took a cab in Burgos Circle and to our surprise, the driver was kind enough to take us to our destination at a cost much lower than expected! We owed him a lot that night! We were not expecting someone kind enough to accept the ample money we had with us.

There we resumed our random click happy moments.

Kaye was teaching us how to pose for a photoshoot we have been planning for a long time. Yet, to our dismay, we leave that field of expertise to her.

I cannot seem to do it properly. LOL

We ended the night well! We got home at around 3 am!

We are thankful to Bogsie for adopting us at such short notice that night when we did not know where to go.

Here’s to our photoshoot! I am hoping good things will come that day.

PREVIEW Mag Craze

Image

This is the cover of Preview Magazine June 2012 issue. A lot of people go gaga about these hot and drop-dead gorgeous ladies when their “Call me maybe” viral video hit 600,000+ views for less than a week. Well of course, these ladies were the so-called Goddesses of our country. Who won’t go gaga about ’em? Even  most of the teens, young adult and adult girls are envious of them. But what to love about them the most? They do know how to have fun and enjoy life without devastating another person’s lives. Thus, they influence most of the girls to be there for each other even at their most busiest moments.

In an interview with Solenn Heussaff and Raymond Gutierrez, they mentioned that it was Georgina’s idea to put up a video of their own since the members are complete at that time and it rarely happens because all of them were always busy. It was so nice of the personnels of the photoshoot venue to be allowing them to do such thing. They also said that they picked up Call me maybe as the song for the video because it is catchy (which means it can be memorized easily). They were encouraging all the viewers to make their own video also so as to show togetherness of their whole “barkada” and the video that will be picked will be receiving a special gift from them. Cool! No wonder other video covers were scattered on Youtube.

It was first day of the month when bez Gina, went out to search and get a copy of the Magazine issue. Unfortunately, upon searching the places near her none of the shops do not have the magazine issue yet. The next day she grabbed the last copy available in Fullybooked. Great! But then she did not even open it because she just loved as so much that she wanted to open and read it with us girls. That’s so sweet! Girls, grab a copy now!

I, as a big fan of Anne Curtis and Georgina Wilson was very excited about it. For a little long wait, at last! We have seen what’s inside the magazine and all that we continuously uttered was “OMG! This is what you call HOT AND GORGEOUS!” Afterwhich, we really wanted to schedule a REAL photoshoot with the rest of the TC’s girls. As we have already have Kat as our professional makeup artist, I as the stylist, Lica as the photographer and all of us as the subject models. Viola!  For the rest of the TC girls, kindly suggest a perfect venue for the Photoshoot. As the filtered results will be seen in Kat Alcaria’s Portfolio, favorably, I know all of us will agree.

BEACH Please?

Summer is the warmest season of the year. These are the days where you can squeeze off your hanky from perspiring, i kid! Newsflash from left to right announces each day as the hottest temperature of the year- that began March of  2012. As I remember, one celebrity was interviewed questioning his opinion for summer season here in the Philippines, since he came from a four season country. He then answered “It doesn’t matter whether the temperature is so hot, it is normal, obviously because it is SUMMER.” That made me laugh and appreciate the summer heat. I just thought that it is more fun to enjoy it than to tiresomely complain.

‘Twas last days of March when my forever friends, TUSS CREW crossed my mind and realized that I miss them. Clearly because, whenever I hear the SUMMER IS COMING phrase, automatically we should be saving three days of the summer season for the crew’s outing. Unfortunately, most of the official members didn’t spend their summer vacay here in the Philippines. So sadly, no summer for me. BUT Not until, my bestfriend, one of the crew- Gina, agreed with me to plan a trip somewhere near the Metro, an affordable place to stay for a night or a day tour. A place where we can desperately (an overstatement) enjoy and experience “Summer” particularly in a beach resort. First two months of summer had passed and the plan was a line drawn on the sand. I and my bestfriend was never hopeless. She informed me that TPM (where she works as a nurse) will be having an outing at Canyon Cove and invited me to join them instead.

Canyon Cove is a very special and memorable place for us. So, I cannot help but pay a visit. So ya, reminiscing all over the place was the first thing I did upon arriving the place.

Here’s what I and my bestfriend wore by the shore:

Jelly sandals, Greenhills.

Shades, Thrifted. Blue Nautical Highwaist swimsuit, Bellas.

Check out Bellas online store, they have perfect swimsuits, bustier tops, corsets, maxi skirts / dresses and the like- its for every girl who lusts for some cute, dainty and sultry pieces with reasonable prices.

Shades, Rudy Project. Rash guard, Sassa. Bikini, Billabong.

‘BEZ’ I and my bestfriend, Gina.

jump shot with the rest of the ladies

The whole day summer outing was fun yet I started to miss my boyfriend a whole lot more when some of these girls came to share with me a bit of information about their Long Distance Relationships. Cheers to that ladies! Another high hopes for me, keep the faith. To my bestfriend, thank you so much for helping me refreshen my senses. A little bit of fun and fresh air really helped. Without this I might lose my sanity. Lica, join us some time, beach please?

Today’s prescription, take thou,

Start anew, No worries. Love one another, be strong and keep the faith.

It’s Morphine Time

You may recognize my title from a famous series that was considered to be “The Avengers” of my childhood. I chose this because two days ago, my friends and I geared up as Power Rangers and defended a city against a ‘fun club’ of bitches. (I am kidding. But for a group 22 to 25-year old women, what transpired during the past days may seem out of character and immature for us.)

There are many reasons as to why I am about to write this personal account of a current situation which we got involved in. One of which is because I have not been writing for the longest time; second and most importantly, I wanted to document an experience we all found amusing, liberating and down right weird (in a good way.)

I know I am not the right person to be writing about this because I am the newest member of the group – even though I still feel like I do not have the right to ownership – but nonetheless, all things changed when an innocent slip up churned into something we will all find hilarious in the years to come.
